Campie Tent Arrest

Today the Parent Council got heavy, dressed up as Burma's military junta and arrested many Campie children. Children were marched with their hands on their heads to a tent prison, where individuals who dared to chant Aung San Suu Kyi were taken out of the big prison and sent into solitary confinement!

Not in case you're worrying about the children. They were all prepared for this, had volunteered and had actually paid 50p for this pleasure! In fact, the P5s started a civil protest by chanting AUNG SAN SUU KYI! It was astounding to see our kind and gentle parents turn into raving dictators.

Khaing Maung Maung, our Burmese friend was with us and he said, "This was remarkable and wonderful to see. Aung San Suu Kyi would have been very proud of these Scottish children. She would be wishing that one day, children in Burma could be so free and able to have their full human rights too."

And that's what it's all about......
